Well did you buy one?
![]() 03/15/2016 at 17:52 |

Idling a little high there bro
![]() 03/15/2016 at 17:54 |

that does look suspiciously BMW-ish

I feel like I know that interior but I can’t quite put my finger on it at the moment.

That’s a 350z.

This might help...

You are absolutely right!the “glove box” thingy should of been a dead giveaway since I remember how much fuss everybody did about it in the review when this car came out.
![]() 03/15/2016 at 18:01 |

ah, yes, you are correct.

I wish to caption the left part of the cluster as: “Put your seatbelt on, there’s no tyre pressure, and there’s no brakes on this train”

No but i now hopefully have someone buying my TL tomorrow and this Z is a possibility of replacements because I am a moron

I test drove one of those last year. It was nice. Black on black, fully loaded, 6-speed felt great.
![]() 03/15/2016 at 18:10 |
|
This is “LOOK AT ME” orange with a 6 speed; was pretty barren compared to my TL

An idling VQ only annoys people in a 1-mile radius. 2000RPM, 10 miles!

From a former Z owner, don’t do it.
![]() 03/15/2016 at 18:15 |
|
Why?
![]() 03/15/2016 at 18:20 |
|
Don’t get me wrong, it was a fun little car when I first bought it. Over time, though, it became an expensive burden. I had an ‘04 convertible. Some parts are cheap but some can be pretty expensive. Same with tires. It got terrible gas mileage. I also hated the ride and I didn’t like the seats. It just got to where it wasn’t fun anymore. That is just me though. You may love it, but I learned real quick a Z was not the car for me.
![]() 03/15/2016 at 18:29 |

Thanks for the input. I had a friend who owned one who really only complained about the gas.
I have some thinking to do
![]() 03/15/2016 at 18:38 |

No worries. Just some things to think about. If you end up getting it, I won’t knock ya for it. It really is a fun little car, just not for everyday use.

Does it have an orange interior? I bought one once from the dealer I worked at way back when, it started belching smoke on my way home, brought it back, they gave me my money back (it was literally 5 minutes after changing hands) a salesman bought it, turned out the piston rings went. Tread lightly.
![]() 03/15/2016 at 18:57 |

black interior

As a former Z owner (‘08), do it! Fun car, MPG is acceptable-ish, tires are expensive, seats are tolerable, and maintenance isn’t that bad as long as it’s been taken care of.
The visibility isn’t so bad and the ride, as you’ve found out probably, is about what you’d expect it to be (I’m assuming your expectations).

Ah, yeah I’d still stay away though. Since this is oppo and we like spending other’s money, you should get a Lexus LS. Or my DeVille, if just to say you now own Ben Rolland’s Cadillac. (That’s gotta hold at least as much weight around here as saying you own Tony Soprano’s Suburban!)
![]() 03/15/2016 at 19:03 |

I love how on Oppo i can get both ‘do it!’ comments as well as ‘STAY AWAY!’ comments.

No lie, I only recognized it because I drove it a lot in Gran Turismo 5

Have you shopped an FRS yet?
![]() 03/15/2016 at 20:29 |

I have not found one in my price range

Wait, how cheap is an 8 year old Z?
![]() 03/15/2016 at 21:02 |

This 07 Z is for 7.5k
![]() 03/15/2016 at 21:08 |

Jesus Christ that’s cheap!

Wow. Seems pretty low risk. I’m not saying 7.5k is nothing, but if something bad were to happen it really wouldn't make a dent in the grand scheme of things.
![]() 03/15/2016 at 21:15 |

Yeah, I’m hoping to get him to just do 7k OTD and I’ll just hand him my wallet at that rate

Fuck it man, I say buy it! (Get the carfax though [yes it doesn’t mean everything but it can’t hurt]).

That’s precisely what we’re here for!

I have an 05, manual, in Daytona Blue Metallic... as soon as I have insurance on it this summer it’s going up for sale, I’m looking for an old Corvette... so if you’re in Canada... ;)
Suspension is stiff,
tires are roughly $950 CAD for a set assuming stock staggered wheels,
you’ll never get more than 31MPG (and that’s taking it easy on the highway at a steady 105km/h (around 65MPH)
it’s INCREDIBLY reliable and parts are cheap
Not exactly overpowered, but surprisingly nimble for it’s weight, with lovely responsive steering
I daily’d mine for two years (although not during snowy/salty parts of the winter) and found it pretty practical. No transporting plywood, but I did get a full sized drillpress in the passenger’s seat

I’m in the good ol USA haha. Lovely Z!

Thank you! Except for a K&N intake and the head unit it’s 100% stock, shockingly enough!
